I'm a beginner guitarist, and I play left hand. (go figure) So, my selections were limited, plus I didn't want to invest a lot upfront, until I decided whether or not this was something I'd stick to. After doing a lot of online research, I decided to pull the trigger. The Valenica acoustic guitar was my choice and it's definitely a great deal! I purchased mine online from RONDO Music ([...]), and absolutely love it. Incidentally, Amazon's price for this guitar is comparable to RONDO'S.

My first impression was wow! It has a very beautiful wood finish. It is light weighted, but sturdy. This guitar has all but replaced my electric Strat! The build quality is excellent, and the sound is smooth, crisp, deep, and rich. Since I play a lot, I normally tune with my Korg GA-1 at least once a week. But don't get it twisted! The Valencia maintains a great tune. It's never off-tune that much, just a tweak here and there, and you're back in business. The first three top strings are nylon and the bottom three are steel. Plus you have the option to upgrade strings if you so desire. This is great, since some acoustic guitars don't have that option.

Amazing what 40 bucks can buy! I highly recommend this guitar to beginners or medium skill levels, who want a good instrument, but don't want to invest a lot of money upfront.
